TREE NINJA ORIGINS

Max has been specialising in Tree Climbing for over a decade now. Starting out in Oxfordshire working for a large Tree Surgery company, he started his own successful business, and has been running Coulton Tree Services for the past 7 years.

During this time, Max has taken part in various National Tree Climbing competitions, both as a competitor and a Judge. The competitions consist of several different disciplines, examples like:

A working climb, in which the person is timed to get themselves around the tree to different work bays, where they carry out a task and move on to the next, all against the clock. 

A speed climb, where the task is purely to get to the top of the tree as fast as possible on a belayed rope, using the tree as the ladder.

A vertical ascent, using only ropes to get to fixed point in the tree in the shortest time possible.

Max could see an opportunity arising where these fun activities could be made accessible to the wider public, not just qualified climbers. And so Tree Ninja was born!
